Elizabeth Joanna Mitchell, born on March 27, 1970 in New York City at 5'9", is a famous American actor. Her credits are Dr. Juliet Burke from ABC TV's Lost series and FBI Agent Erica Evans for V. Gia the Escape Clause. Mitchell is co-starring with Eric Kripke in the television show Revolution on NBC. Joseph Day Mitchell her stepfather and her mother are lawyers based out of Dallas. Josephine Marian Mitchell who is nee Jenkins is also a Dallas lawyer. Mitchell and her mom moved from Dallas Texas in 1970 where her mother married Joseph Mitchell in 1975. Mitchell was a student at Booker T. Washington High School of the Performing and Visual Arts, a public magnet high school. She is the eldest of three sisters with the others being Kristina Katherine Day Kate Mitchell and Kristina Kristie Mitchell, and Katherine Day Kate Mitchell. She graduated in 1991 from Stephens College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and also studying at the British American Drama Academy.Mitchell worked for six years at the Dallas Theater Center and a time in the Encore Theater. She is most well-known for portraying the role of Special Agent Emily Prentiss (CBS crime drama Criminal Minds) In June 2010, the show announced that her Criminal Minds role would be cut in half for the sixth-season. Brewster's part on Criminal Minds ended in March of 2011, however she may come back in the future.
